The EUSPBA Southern Branch Flourish Scholarship was created with a goal of developing a priority of educating Branch soloists and bands in music theory, instrument setup, tuning, composition and ensemble. We hope that with this scholarship we can begin a movement of raising the overall level of mid section drumming in our region.

Through the Flourish Scholarship applicants will apply for a $250 grant that can be used to obtain individual or sectional instruction from top level instructors. Applicants must be current, paid members of the EUSPBA Southern Branch in order to be eligible. To apply:

• Complete your name, address, contact information, and EUSPBA information.

• If you are currently not a competing member, please enter “NO GRADE”.

• If your request is for lessons/instruction, please enter your instructor’s name. If you need assistance locating an instructor please advise.

• Letter of Reference. This is an important part of the scholarship process.  The letter should be from an instructor or band leader, someone who knows you well and will support your dedication and/or interest to the Celtic arts. Email your reference letter to: southerbrancheuspba@gmail.com

• Videos and/or recordings of the individual or section performing are encouraged, but not mandatory. There will be many applicants.  This is your opportunity to display your current level of proficiency. Upload the video as "unlisted" to YouTube and share the link below.

• Finally, describe a bit of your history as it relates to Celtic arts – when/why did you get involved? What are your goals?  What have you done to attain them?

• Once again, if you are awarded a scholarship, the Southern Branch will pay your instructor or workshop/school directly.

• Apply by Friday, October 1, 2021 at 11:59pm Central with the winner of the scholarship being announced on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 7:00pm Central live on our Branch Facebook Page.
