Southern Branch Online Band Contest

The Southern Branch Online Band Contest will be a Non-Sanctioned online band competition held for all bands within our Southern Branch. There will be no entry fees or prize money, just the chance of safe competition and getting judge's feedback during the continued Covid crisis. • This mini-major is open to SOUTHERN BRANCH BANDS ONLY

• Minimum size band 4 pipers, 1 snares, 1 bass (go as big as you are safely able).

• This will not be a sanctioned contest by any pipe band association.

• There will be no entry fees.

• There will be no prize money.

• Awards will be virtual.

• Bands should compete in their appropriate grade level(s).

• Bands are welcome to challenge up from their appropriate level.

• G5 bands should submit a March Medley

• G4, G3, G2, and G1 bands should submit one MSR and/or one Medley.

• One Entry per band per grade – no “a band” or “b band”

• Adjudicator's will be from outside the United States, allowing U.S. Bands to be critiqued by persons who may have never heard them before.

• Videos must be one continuous shot of the band.

• Videos must begin no less than 3 seconds before the roll-offs and end no less than 3 seconds after the cut-off.

• Bands will receive a copy of their sheets.

• The adjudicator's decisions are final.

• Wear your uniforms - the online pipe band world will be watching.
